Domestic terrorist William Ayers on “Good Morning America”:
Not to sound like a sore loser, but, this interview should have happened before the election. Obama’s connection to Ayers was not irrelevant, it was ignored by the media, including ABC and Good Morning America.
Ayers is clearly unrepentant; he even defends his actions. And this isn’t a case of guilt by association. No one is saying that Barack Obama is guilty of bombing the Capitol and the Pentagon, nor that he designed a bomb that blew up in his girlfriend’s face like Ayers did. Cuomo could have asked about the Annenberg Challenge, headed by Ayers and Obama, where they distributed over $100 million for education programs… Does Barack Obama share Ayers’s radical views on education? The question is, why are they associated in the first place. This morning, in this interview, Ayers says:
I never hurt or killed anyone. I was involved in the anti-war movement. I was a militant. I was part of the militant faction of opposing the war and I’ve been quoted again and again as saying I don’t regret it, and frankly, I don’t think we did enough and I don’t think we did enough, just as today, I don’t think we’ve done enough to stop these wars and I think we must all recognize the injustice of it and do more.
Is Ayers calling for Americans that oppose the War on Terror to bomb the Pentagon, or blow-up police officer’s homes while their children are inside?
I would never be in a room with this guy and I have no political aspirations, for Obama, Ayers is “a guy in the neighborhood.” Ayers should be roting in prison, and would be, but for a technical flaw in the FBI’s case against him.
PS. His other book, “Prarie Fire,” is dedicated to Sirhan Sirhan, Bobby Kennedy’s assassin. That should be a problem to the politician most compared to Kennedy since the man himself ran for office.
