Jake Tapper at ABC outlines the past connections, positions, and policy “experiments” that should worry Americans about Chas Freeman, the new chair of the National Intelligence Council. Freeman has long running ties to the Saudi Kingdom and is president of the Saudi funded Middle East Policy Council. Jennifer Rubin, at Contentions, points out that Freeman has blamed 9-11 on the US, and questions the Obama Administrations politicization of our intelligence bodies and our foreign policy.
The White House continues to ignore questions about Freeman, including a letter signed by nine congressmen, asking for a full review of Mr. Freeman’s financial and contractual ties to the House of Saud.
