Did you hear about this in the mainstream media? The president of the United States, in a meeting with Saudi King Abdullah, gave his support for the so-called Saudi Peace Initiative. Drafted in 2002, the plan was an attempt to move the discussion around Saudi Arabia away from al Qaeda and onto peace, what’s a better way than jumping into a “two-state solution” peace plan. The problem is, it’s not a peace plan—if peace means a Jewish State living peacefully with its 22 Arab neighbors.
The Saudi plan calls for Israel’s full withdrawal from every inch of land taken from Jordan, Syria, and Egypt in 1967, and for Israel’s acceptance of the Palestinian “right of return” (which would flood Israel with millions of Arab Palestinians). At least the Saudi’s would recognize Israel—after it’s non-negotiable terms were met—but, they would be recognizing a majority Arab state called Israel, not the only Jewish country on the planet.
Is Barack Obama doing this for oil? That’s what the dems said when Bush cozied up to the Saudi’s… What about working out a “peace plan” that will work, or, letting the Israelis and the Arabs figure it out for themselves.
