Obama Campaign Withdraws From Jewish Debates

Press release from the Republican Jewish Coalition:

Obama Campaign Withdraws From Two Jewish Debates

Thursday, October 16, 2008 By: Suzanne Kurtz

The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) Executive Director Matt Brooks issued the following statement today:Now that the Presidential debates are over, the Obama campaign is trying to cancel all remaining debates in the Jewish community that include the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Claiming they do not like recent RJC advertisements, the Obama campaign has formally instructed all of its representatives to cancel their scheduled appearances with any representative of the RJC. Former Congressman Mel Levine (CA) yesterday informed the Valley Cities Jewish Community Center that he would no longer show up for his scheduled debate this Sunday against RJC California Director Larry Greenfield. State Representative Josh Shapiro (PA) informed Temple Sinai that he would not participate in a forum with RJC Philadelphia Director Scott Feigelstein.

“The RJC is deeply troubled by this effort on the part of the Obama campaign to stifle and limit a debate on the important issues facing our country,” said Brooks. “More than anything the Jewish community values dialogue. What is the Obama campaign afraid of? Why is the Obama campaign afraid to have this conversation?”

“With their recently enacted policy of not debating representatives of the RJC, the Obama campaign has underscored Senator Obama’s problems in the Jewish community. It is unfortunate that the Obama campaign is unwilling and afraid to have a candid conversation on the issues of great concern to Jewish voters,” said Brooks.

“Throughout this campaign, the RJC has highlighted the truth about Obama’s positions, his statements and his advisers. Every point raised in our ads is sourced, cited and has previously been reported in the media. We ask legitimate questions about Obama’s policies towards Israel, the Middle East and Iran. Our ads have raised legitimate concerns over Obama’s associations with Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Robert Malley, Tony McPeak and David Bonior. If the Obama campaign is unhappy with our ads, then Senator Obama should never have associated with these individuals in the first place,” Brooks added.

“Currently, the RJC is scheduled to participate in 29 debates between now and the election. In keeping with the long-standing tradition of Jewish dialogue, we look forward to these opportunities to engage the Jewish community on the critical issues,” said Brooks.

Why Do Jews Support Obama?

As a conservative, pro-Israel, Jewish, college student it’s not very surprising; but it is worrisome.

Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian values. Our founders believed, and many Americans (I wish it were most) still do, that we have no ruler but God; that we should be a light, and force for good on all other Nations; that we are endowed by Him with inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These beliefs and values have carried us through 232 years of independence, in which we became the strongest, most powerful, most benevolent, and most free nation in the world.

In the last 232 years Jews around the world have seen the worst hatred, oppression, genocide in history; with only two safe havens—the State of Israel (founded only 60 years ago), and the United States.

What does this have to do with Barack Obama? He doesn’t think that the US is all that great. Obama thinks middle class conservatives are “bitter” and “cling to their guns and religion.” His only religious affiliation (that can be discussed) is his 20 year stint at Jerry Wrong’s Trinity United Church of Marx. His views on Israel policy were formed at Rashid Khalidi’s dinner table. He opposes war, and prefers to chit-chat with pure evil (Ahmedinejad), than destroy it. Obama wants to raise your taxes, re-distribute your income and commandeer the profits of major corporations.

For the Jews, some of the most educated, freedom loving, productive, innovative, and industrious people in the country, voting for Obama just makes no sense. So why would they? Here are some opinion peices that may clear it up:

Economic Recovery In a Democrat Controlled Government…

From the AP: Pelosi and Reid plan to bring Congress back after the election, expecting an Obama win, to construct an economic aid package …sounds like an incentive to stay unemployed, and on food stamps.

$150 billion for increased unemployment pay, more food stamps, and possibly a check in the mail + $25 billion to the states, $25 billion for roads and other infrastructure, and $65 billion for tax rebates (paid for by fleecing oil companies) = at least $261 billion, the down payment for an Obama Presidency.

New Film – The Third Jihad

The American Islamic Forum has released it’s new film, The Third Jihad.

From the film’s website:

The Third Jihad exposes the war the media is not telling you about.

It reveals the enemy our government is too afraid to name.

One person who is not afraid to tell you the truth is Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, a Muslim American and former physician to the US Congress.

After the FBI releases a radical Islamist manifesto describing how to destroy America from within, Dr. Jasser decides to investigate.

The Third Jihad is about what he discovered.

Interviews are conducted with radical Islamists in the US and the leaders trying to stop them, such as Rudy Giuliani, Clinton CIA Director Jim Woolsey, NYC Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, Senator Joe Lieberman, former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, and former terrorist group member Tawfik Hamid.

Rudy Guliani has called this film “a wake-up call for America.”

What is the third Jihad?

The first Jihad lasted up until the 1400′s, when Islam moved trough the Arabian peninsula, and into northern Africa. The second Jihad was essentially the Ottoman Empire, and the movement of Islamic forces throughout the Middle East and into Europe. The third Jihad, the one we see today, is attempting to overturn liberal, secular, western societies and replace them with a coercive Islamic government.

New Book on Mark Steyn’s “Human Rights” Case

Mark Steyn’s “human rights” trial in Canada is the perfect example of political-correctness gone mad. Islamists and Islamo-fascist sympathizers, as well as “multi-culti” Liberal morons, charged Mark Steyn with “Islamophobia” for commiting the hatecrime of writing an insightful and important book, America Alone (not really, it was actually over an exerpt from the book. in which he is writing about a novel!).

Check out: The Tyrany of Nice, by Kathy Shaidle and Pete Vere

From SteynOnline:

Kathy Shaidle and Pete Vere lift the rock on Canada’s thought police in their new volume published this week. The Tyranny Of Nice is the book of the show trial of the magazine excerpt of the original hate crime (America Alone). It’s a great read, not just about the Steyn case and the Ezra Levant cartoon showdown but about all the other travesties of justice that have received far less publicity, beginning with the outrageous and totalitarian lifetime speech ban on the Reverend Stephen Boissoin. From transsexual labiaplasties to hygiene-free hamburger joints, Kathy and Pete examine the many exotic new “human rights” that have supplanted the old, real human rights, like free speech, the presumption of innocence and the right to a free trial. We here at Hatemonger Central are delighted to be able to offer The Tyranny Of Nice for sale to readers around the world, and I’ll be happy to autograph it, too.
