Obama Inauguration Prayer Leader Allegedly Linked to Hamas

From the AP via The International Herald Tribune:

Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America, is one of many religious leaders scheduled to speak at the prayer service at Washington’s National Cathedral.

But in 2007 and as recently as last July, federal prosecutors in Dallas filed court documents linking the Hartford, Conn.-based Islamic society to the group Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist organization. [Read More]

Barone: “Share The Wealth, Spread The Blame”

From Human Events:

How will Barack Obama govern as president? One clue, I think, is the site where he chose to make his first post-election policy speech, laying out his economic stimulus plan last week.

Presumably he had many invitations and could have made it anywhere in Washington. But he chose to trek out to Northern Virginia, to George Mason University, a school known for its free market economics department. And the plan he unveiled there is not exactly what you might have expected from a politician who in 2007 had the most liberal voting record in the Senate, according to National Journal. [Read More]

Obama’s Political Pick for CIA Head leaves Dems ‘Puzzled’

Barack Obama announced that Leon Panetta, former CA congressman and Clinton chief of staff, will be the next head of the CIA. Panetta has no operational intelligence experience and will be one of the few directors with no experience at a spy agency.

Diane Feinstein, CA Senator and head of the Senate Intelligence committee said,

“I was not informed about the selection of Leon Panetta to be the CIA director… My position has consistently been that I believe the agency is best served by having an intelligence professional in charge at this time.”

Senator John D. Rockefeller “has concerns because he has always believed that the director of CIA needs to be someone with significant operational intelligence experience, and someone outside the political realm,” an aide said.

Palin Calls On LA Times to Release Obama/Khalidi Tape

From FoxNews:

BOWLING GREEN, OH — At a rally at Bowling Green University, Sarah Palin launched into one of her most scathing attacks of the campaign questioning Barack Obama’s support of Israel by linking him to a Columbia University professor who also served as the spokesperson for the Palestinian Liberation Organization.

“Now interesting what we are finding out in the last couple days about this assortment of friends from Chicago that Barack–that Barack Obama has. In case you missed the latest item let me summarize.” Palin said, “It seems that there is yet another radical professor from the neighborhood who spent a lot of time with Barack Obama going back several years. This is important because his associate, Rashid Khalidi he in addition to being a political ally of Barack Obama he’s a former spokesperson for the Palestinian Liberation Organization.”

She then slammed the Los Angeles Times for refusing to release a tape that the newspaper’s editors say shows Obama praising Khalidi at a 2003 party. Khalidi has a history of expressing anti-Israel views. The newspaper reported on the banquet and Obama and Khalidi’s relationship in an article published six months ago. Palin then questioned what Obama may have said about Israel at the party directly questioning his support of the country. Continue Reading →

Tenured Radicals: Domestic Terrorists Find Safe-Haven in Academia

From Ann Coulter:

“…Any other profession would have banned a person like Ayers. Universities not only accept former domestic terrorists, but also move them to the front of the line. In addition to Ayers, among those once on the FBI’s most-wanted list who ended up in cushy college teaching positions are Bernardine Dohrn (Northwestern University), Mark Rudd (a junior college in New Mexico) and Angela Davis (History of Consciousness Department, University of California at Santa Cruz)…” [Full Article]

Bradley Effect? I Think Not

From Ann Coulter:

“…In addition to the social pressure to constantly prove you’re not a racist, apparently there is massive social pressure to prove you’re not a Republican. No one is lying about voting for McCain just to sound cool.

Reviewing the polls printed in The New York Times and The Washington Post in the last month of every presidential election since 1976, I found the polls were never wrong in a friendly way to Republicans. When the polls were wrong, which was often, they overestimated support for the Democrat, usually by about 6 to 10 points…”[Read Full Article]

Barack is a Dangerous Choice

The McCain campaign continues to hit Barack Obama on his poor judgment, in choosing people such as William Ayers and Rashid Khalidi as friends and colleagues.

New McCain campaign ad:

John McCain really missed an opportunity when he failed to bring up Barack Obama’s friends at the “debate” on Tuesday. The last 20 years of Barack Obama’s public life are his record. John McCain has been an elected official for 26 years, and has a tried-and-true record of reform with, pro-growth economic policies, and a strong national security stance.  Obama’s public life includes his participaion in the Annenberg Challenge, and the Woods foundation; his time as a trainer for ACORN and his active participation in Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church—in the Illinois Legistature he usually voted present, and as a Senator in Washington, he ran for President.

Barack under-performs the generic democrat ticket, they only like him because he’s “cool,” and he’s not a Republican. Those are bad reasons to choose a President. He’s a big risk.

John McCain is a war hero, he’d better start fighting.
